Lady Stephanie Whitehead is a Christian woman who loves the Lord. She serves faithfully at her church as the Media and Women’s Ministry Leader, under the leadership of her husband (Bishop A DeWayne Whitehead), whom she has been married to for over 20 years; has 3 children & 7 grandchildren.
Stephanie has worked in city government for over 28 years in various capacities and currently is the Victim Witness Coordinator with Macon-Bibb County Solicitor General’s office. Stephanie holds an Associate’s degree in Business Administration and Criminal Justice from Central GA Technical College. She has her B.S. in Criminal Justice from Fort Valley State University. Stephanie is a Nationally Certified Advanced Advocate in Comprehensive Victim Intervention.
She is a self-published author of two (2) books; has written, produced, and directed a stage play to raise awareness of domestic violence. Stephanie hosts an annual Survivor’s Ball for victims to honor their bravery, and to commemorate the lives of those lost while trying to leave a violent relationship. She is a motivational speaker and mentor. She has received a Mayor’s Unsung Heroine Award for her community contributions.
She is the CEO of Violence Intervention & Prevention Inc. Stephanie is a survivor of domestic violence and rape who is not ashamed or afraid to share, or address the issues of abuse. Her mottos for life are: Turning Trials into Triumphs & Count it All Joy! Her continuous mission is helping others on their journey to becoming free from abuse.
